Cill Rialaig
Cill Rialaig retreat residencies are awarded to artists at a time when it may be of significant difference to their work. Each artist is provided with a small stone studio/cottage were they may pursue their work in isolation. My stay followed the death of my husband – in the stormy winter weather the experience quickly turned into a metaphor for the passage through grief. These are a few paintings and collages from that time.
